Springfield Illinois, Lincoln Museum

We recently took a trip to Springfield, Illinois, because of our interest in History, Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War.   We weren’t quite sure what to expect, the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum was worth the trip all by itself !!   Loved the four block area of the streets and home where Lincoln lived and walked, I felt like we stepped back in time and was about to pass ole Abe with a “Good Morning” Greet.

Be sure to visit Lincoln’s Tomb located in Oak Ridge Cemetery, a State Historic site where Lincoln and his family are buried, with the exception of Robert.

Just outside the Tomb is a Large Bronze Bust of Lincoln, you can rub his nose for good Luck.  There was so much to see and do, we will be visiting Springfield again !!!
