Stonewall Jackson’s House – Lexington, Virgina

We love visiting Lexington Virgina, so many Civil War Sites. One of them is General Stonewall Jackson’s House and Grave Site, the man who became a Legend and undefeated General until his death during the civil war May 10th 1863.  The Home is a wonderful museum with so much history we seem to find ourselves drawn there more often than any other Civil War site.  When we Pay our respects to his grave and monument we always leave a lemon.  Another site to visit is Lee Chapel where General Robert E. Lee is buried, the Chapel has a museum and his horse Traveler is buried just outside.  We always leave an apple on Traveler’s grave marker.

If you find yourself hungry while touring around Lexington, the Sheridan Livery Inn and Restaurant is a wonderful place to have lunch or dinner.

After Enjoying all the Wonderful Sites and Food and Feeling a little tired, I recommend staying at the Historic Hampton Inn, located in the Historic Downtown District of Lexington, Photos are Below !!
